2000 administrators processing 1.7 million claims annually
FINEOS Corporation, a global provider of innovative enterprise software solutions for insurance, bancassurance, and social insurance, today announced that the final wave of Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) users has gone live on the FINEOS Claims solution. More than 2,000 ACC users are now live on FINEOS Claims, known internally as Eos. All claimant and claim information has also been migrated to the new system and all business units are using Eos to manage these claims. The roll-out coincides with the signing of a Premium Support Services Agreement with ACC. FINEOS will provide on-going maintenance and support for Eos and work with ACC to identify business improvement opportunities to optimize the benefits of Eos across the organization.
ACC is the public body in New Zealand that provides 24-hour, no-fault personal injury coverage for all New Zealand residents and visitors. This involves overseeing coverage for 4 million New Zealand citizens and processing approximately 1.7 million claims each year. FINEOS Claims was selected by ACC in 2004 to process claims for bodily injury, work cover and workers’ compensation. The Eos project forms part of a larger business transformation initiative to improve operational efficiency and adaptability at ACC. It represents one of the largest public sector projects in New Zealand in the last decade.
Graeme Osborne, CIO at ACC, welcomed the roll-out: “The final wave of the go-live at ACC and the signing of the Support Agreement signal a new phase in our partnership with FINEOS. The project does not end here. We are committed to continuously improving the performance of Eos to ensure that ACC staff, claimants, treatment providers, funders and other stakeholders benefit from world-class digital solutions to support the delivery of ACC’s operational and strategic priorities.”
Michael Kelly, CEO, FINEOS added: “By using FINEOS Claims, ACC has positioned itself as a global best practice organization and a model for Enterprise Claims Management in the industry. We are delighted that ACC has confidence in Eos and FINEOS Claims to support its strategy to change and grow its business in response to future market conditions. The ACC project is held in high regard within the New Zealand public sector and has a reputation in international public sector circles as a real success story.”
